Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Marcie was last seen leaving her home on Village Green at 1:30 pm on December 6th, 2007, to go Christmas shopping. The only evidence in the case is this surveillance video from a Wal-Mart parking lot. It shows someone riding a bicycle after parking Smith's sports utility.
Police said her husband, Palmer Smith is not a suspect, but they are monitoring his behavior.
Police have compared the case to the Janet March case. Perry March, a former Nashville attorney, was convicted of murdering his wife, Janet, who disappeared without a trace.
In August 2006, he was found guilty of second-degree murder. Her body has never been found.
Marcie Smith disappeared last December. At the time, her husband, Palmer Smith asked for help to find his wife.
But he has stopped talking and hired a lawyer. He is also accused of stalking.
Teresa Goodwin said he approached her at a bar and later showed up at her work. She filed a harassment report. Goodwin said Smith talked of his wife in the past tense.
This remains a missing person's case. Investigators have not found a body. Marcie Smith could be alive.
