    • Details of Disappearance
    Linda Watts worked in the mailroom of The Sanford Herald. She loved walking, so it was not uncommon for Linda to walk from her home to work. On the evening of May 11, 2004 at around 11 pm or so, she left her evening shift at the paper and began her walk home.
    Some of her personal possessions were found about a block from her home. Witnesses reported seeing her abduction, with Ms. Watts being forced into a vehicle by two men. Her employer put up a reward for her safe return, and searches for Ms. Watts began immediately and continue to this day
